This project is dedicated to long term data preservation. One of the most long term readable material is clay.
We propose to create cuneiform like stamps that can be used to create future archeological tablets and artifacts. You may
even write a text or upload a small file that will be encoded for stamping. The app will create a STL model that can be 3D printed (generally after resizing).
You can then use this stamp to print clay tablets. So you can preserve text, image, neural networks... for millenia
The letters are 3D built to act as a cuneiform tool on clay and avoid the bubbles. The depth of the imprint is thus different at the top and the bottom of the letters.
You can print the STL file with the maximum resolution (0.1mm) in a quite solid material (eg.ABS).
On the right side a clay
table was stamped with two different sizes of imprints. Depending on the resolution of your 3D printer the amount of text or
code you may store on a limited surface may vary.
After stamped, the clay can be finished in a high temperature furnace but there is also room temperature drying clays that can become hard after 5 days.
You can find more information on R&D Mediation.
